Our Story

Jeff & Brian met while serving in the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California. Leaning into their interest in reptiles the two got jobs at Reptile Haven, one of the first reptile shops in the United States, from 1989 to 1993. After leaving the Marine Corps in 1993 Jeff & Brian opened up Chicago Reptile House in Orland Park, Illinois. Shortly after, they would also open the Chicago Birdhouse & the Chicago Fish & Coral Company.
